Haldi is a natural spice, dried and grounded down into a fine powder. In the kitchen it is used in a variety of concoctions; from curries to even desserts. In ancient India, it has been used for its medicinal compounds called curcuminoids, curcumin being the most important. Curcumin has anti-inflammatory effects and is very rich in antioxidants.
